Ford Kuga Introducing the Ford Kuga

Ford Kuga

A seamless blend of petrol and electric power.

Kuga’s advanced Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) technology combines a battery-powered electric motor with a 2.5-litre Duratec petrol engine. The hybrid battery can be recharged at home or public charging stations. Energy recaptured while braking also helps charge the battery as you drive. Fully charged, the Kuga PHEV can drive up to 35 miles on electric power alone, and a total hybrid driving range of up to 465 miles.

A system that can help protect pedestrians.

Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection uses camera technology to scan the road ahead. If a collision risk with a vehicle, pedestrian or cyclist is detected, it’ll then provide you with a warning. If you don’t respond in time, the system can automatically apply up to full braking force to help reduce the severity of, or even eliminate, some frontal collisions.

The Best of Both Worlds.

Wherever the destination, the Ford Kuga Plug-in Hybrid uses two sources of power to get you there more efficiently than ever. An advanced electric powertrain lets you make shorter trips with zero emissions, and can charge anywhere you have access to mains. For longer journeys, 2.5L Duratec petrol engine ensures you can go as far as you want, and helps recharge the battery in the process. This Plug-in Hybrid definitely is a no compromise option, delivering the best of both worlds.
